The Alliance for Strong Mequon Thiensville Schools comprised of parents, teachers and community members.  If you are interested in working on any of these subcommittees, or filling a board position, please email us with your name, phone number and email address.

Chairman -  Nanci Schiman: 

• Oversee and coordinate the advocacy group functions.
• Keep the group focused on mission and goals.
• Work in conjunction with other groups with similar goals, including the Southeastern WI School Alliance, the Mequon Thiensville Education Foundation, and the Area Council PTA.
• Establish continuing relationships with members of the School Board, Administration, and Legislature.

Treasurer - Chris Such:

• Maintain financial records and statements
• Responsible for paying bills, maintaining checking account
• File necessary IRS forms, including application for 501(c)(4) status.

Legislative Chair - Mary Sullivan:

• Follow legislative issues that pertain to group mission.
• Distribute pertinent information to board and committee members.
• Correspond with legislators on key issues and concerns.

Graphics Coordinator - Julie Lookatch:

• Develop logo and slogan to reflect the mission and goals of the ASMTS.
• Develop promotional materials to be used to increase community awareness and expand membership.

Web Site Coordinator - Marcia Schwager

• Work with Co-Chairs to design a website to promote advocacy efforts, provide current information and links to key media pieces and other websites.
• Coordinate updates to website, working with Legislative Chair and Co-Chairs.
