If you want to recycle shingles, you can bring them to Myers in Colchester or to the Casella Transfer Station in Williston. Recycled shingles are taken to Whitcomb in Colchester where they are mixed with asphalt.
Randolph Transfer will be setting up a container for shingles collection in the near future – fees will apply to cover the cost of transporting the shingles to Williston.
The Vermont Agency of Natural Resources provides information about deconstruction as well. If the Shingles are older they could contain asbestos – please contact ANR about proper treatment/containment and/or disposal at 802-828-1138
